Men's Volleyball faced eleventh-ranked George Mason in the playoff semi-final match-up. The Highlanders got off to a great start, taking a 2-0 lead by scores of 30-21 and 30-25. But George Mason battled back and took the next three by scores of 30-26, 30-20, and 15-13, to beat NJIT by a score of 3-2. The Highlanders' impressive playoff run came to an end with the hard loss to the favorite George Mason.
Rodrigo Correa had 51 assists for NJIT, which was a game-high, and the Highlanders had four players with at least twelve kills. Leonardo Paludo led the team with twenty and Amobi Armstrong, Eduardo Welter, and Greg Wagner were the three others with at least twelve kills.
The loss puts Men's Volleyball's season record to 13-14, an impressive mark as the Highlanders played against many tough opponents, but still had a good record and a great run in the playoffs.
